What is LCNC?

Low-code/no-code is a general name for a variety of tools and platforms that allow users to quickly build applications with drag-and-drop-able components, simplified logics, automated deployment and so on. LCNC platforms are more accessible to users without technical skills while helping developers decrease repetitive work.

Are LCNC platforms scalable?

The true scalability depends on the platform you are using, but most of the platforms are cloud-based and very scalable.

Are LCNC platforms secure?

LCNC platform providers spend a huge amount of money on their security teams. We can be sure that their investment in security is way more significant than the investment of SMEs and startups, who are using their services. For enterprises, the platforms usually provide on-premise solutions as well.

Is LCNC the right tech for me?

It depends on your requirements. For us, Bubble is great when it comes to developing small apps or MVPs, while WeWeb and Xano are a great combination for bigger apps.

Can LCNC replace traditional code for good?

LCNC platforms solve a lot of issues, but they won't solve everything. Imagine a bank's core applications - its complexity, required security and sensitivity are enough not to rely on a 3rd party platform.

Will LCNC platforms own my app and data?

You should own your app and your data. Imagine LCNC platforms are like AWS (Amazon Web Service). You can host you apps there but it doesn't mean that AWS owns your apps and data.

Who and where are you guys?

We are a team from Vietnam! Our team consists of no-code developers with and without technical background. With such a diversity, we brought a lot of experience from our coding past into no-code as well as maintained a business-mindset team

Why are you guys a good fit for me?

Since we have a lot of experience in traditional coding already, we know how to build applications that are scalable, performance-optimized and secured! Of course, user-centricity and usability are included. Moreover, we can develop plugins, connect APIs, etc with ease.

Can you guys speak good English?

Albeit being from Vietnam, we can ascertain that the majority of our company's constituents possess the ability to express complicated thoughts and discuss abstract topics without barriers.

Who will I work with?

Usually, at least one dedicated developer will be assigned to one project to act as a project manager/product owner. The developer will work to figure out the scopes while advising the client feature-wise and functionality-wise.

How long have you guys been around?

Although legally CitizenDev is 1 year old, our team have worked together for 4 years. We had a pro-code company prior to CitizenDev, hence our knowledge and experience.

How many people do you have?

More than a dozen!

How do I demonstrate my idea?

It's best that you bring to the table wireframes, diagrams or atleast a list of features that you want in your project. However, we can still hop on a call and discuss without those.

Who owns the documents and products?

You own everything. We do not own the rights to resell, reuse or even claim the work to be developed by us without your consent.

What are the development procedures?

We usually break the work into milestones. With each milestone, we will develop and test the work. You will be able to test the work after each milestone before signing off the milestone.

How do I test my app?

You will be provided with a live URL that you can access and interact with the work done for real. You will also be provided with test instructions.

How do I know my apps are high-quality?

We write a lot of documents to not only preserve and transfer knowledge but also for you to read and understand the work we do.

How do you maintain the apps afterwards?

With bugs, we provide a free standard 2 months of bugs maintenance. With amendments, we provide maintenance plans. With large batch of requirements we can simply create a new project with you to work on.

Why are you guys better than other agencies?

Being a former pro-code agency and having a team of strong pro-code developers, we understand our work and the underlying principles and technologies. When it comes to optimization, developer experience or security, we outweigh those derived from a former design agency or simply bootstrapped from scratch.

We worked in AI and other pro-code development for 3 years.

What if there is a feature that LCNC cannot provide?

A lot. We cannot use LCNC to build AI models (yet), blockchain stuff (yet), advanced data analytics (yet), or simply another no-code platform (yet?).

Stuff like embeddable widgets, browser extensions, etc are also out of reach for now, but we'll get there.

Do you guys take shares instead of money?

No, at least for now. Our developers need to eat. We haven't trained them to use photosynthesis to produce carbohydrate yet.

What happens if my idea fails?

We are very sorry to hear that, but it's a part of the process. 95% of the startup ideas fail, but at least with no-code you can fail quickly and affordably!

How much do I need to pay for the LCNC platforms?

Usually only about $30/month per platform for the beginning. We have MVP projects with thousands of users being run on a $32/month hosting.

Can I make changes to the app myself?

In fact, a lot of our clients learnt no-code and developed with us! With no-code the apps are highly maintainable such that you can maintain them yourself.
